Home - Bushcraft and Campcraft Activities
Canoeing trips and bushcraft remain our most popular activities with all of our customers. Join us on one of our fantastic canoe day trips, or for more than one day, take a mini-expedition of canoe camping adventures in Devon or South Wales. Either book the canoes and river guide exclusively as a group, or join us on one of our scheduled trips.
We have many years of experience of teaching bushcraft skills and more activity choices than any other company we have found. Whatever your age, ability or experience, our instructors will ensure you learn, have fun and work together with the rest of the group.
Our bushcraft courses teach you to use natures resources to provide shelter, food and warmth to explore and survive the wilderness. Learn skills such as traditional fire lighting, wood carving, foraging, and natural cordage.
Our canoe, camping and overnight expeditions will take you on a journey of discovery unraveling the lives of our ancestors and true nature of experience.
Travelling to areas only accessible by open canoe, we teach you bushcraft and wild camping skills not covered on the one day course, including wild foods, wood carving, bow making, natural cordage, air rifles and for the brave, rabbit skinning.
Our Devon based canoeing and bushcraft weekends are based on the stunningly beautiful river Dart from either Stoke Gabrielle or Totnes and are suitable for beginners and those with previous experience.
Travel in a traditional open Canadian canoe packed with all the essentials you will need to survive just as our ancestors would have done. Canoeing day trips run on the river Dart from Totnes, river Exe from Exeter and Devon Avon from Averton Gifford.
Experience the peace and tranquility of the river, while spotting kingfishers and seals and learn some basic bushcraft and campcraft skills along the way.
For a longer canoe adventure experience, try one of our two to five day mini-expeditions on Devon's river Dart or the river Wye in South Wales.
You will learn skills such as canoeing, bushcraft and wilderness survival techniques, wild food foraging, traditional fire lighting and campcraft skills. No experience is necessary so why not sample one of our canoe adventures to see what this slower pace of life can offer.
