Exhilarating Multi-Activity Weekend For Everyone
For a fun & exciting break for all the family, join us for this exhilarating two day multi-activity and adventure weekend. Suitable for singles, couples, families and small groups, activities include kayaking or canoeing on day one and climbing and abseiling on day 2. These activities are suitable for complete beginners or for those looking to improve existing skills.

Get into the wilds, bond with the boys and survive our men and boys only weekend! After introducing you to your canoe, we let you lose on the river Dart, showing you how to paddle like the professional hunters and gatherers of old. A brief re-introduction to civilisation can be arranged at one of three local pubs, before stopping for a demonstration of traditional fire lighting and a brew. On reaching our wild campsite you will be shown how to build a shelter, be reminded how to light your cook fire using flint and steel and you can try your hand at fishing, rabbit skinning or start collecting some wild foods for dinner. The evening is spent chatting round the camp fire or carving your own bushcraft spoon, bow and arrows or air rifle shooting and of course a beer or two. After a refreshing nights sleep in the trees we will blow the fire alight to cook breakfast, before honing your canoeing skills on your paddle back to civilisation.

Take a leisurely, peaceful, fun and romantic trip on one of the most beautiful rivers in Devon. As we paddle our canoes in twos, the first fun thing to do will be to choose your paddling partner, and paddle peacefully down the river perhaps getting to know each other better! A glass of wine at one of the riverside locals can be arranged, before stopping for a demonstration of traditional fire lighting and a brew. On reaching our campsite we will help you to build a shelter and be reminded how to light your cook fire using flint and steel. You might also try fishing from a canoe or collecting some wild foods for dinner. The Stunning River Dart Estuary is the perfect location for our Wild Food Weekend. ?When the Tide is out, the table is set?. We will use our Canadian Canoes to explore this wonderful estuary, hunting and foraging for Food for Free. The estuary is the perfect place to rely on Mother Nature to provide for your needs, offering Oysters, Mussels and Cockles at low tide, sea bass, delicious Marsh Samphire, wild garlic, sea beet and tasty and nutritious nettles. Cook your feast on an open fire, then sit back and enjoy your meal! At our hidden ?Wild Campsite?, your guides will show you how to pitch your basha and string your Hammock between the trees or even one of our Traditional Single Pole Tepee’s. We will guide you through lighting your cook fire with traditional flint & steel, construct a stone hearth or make a tripod to suspend you billy cans from. Choose from dishes such as shellfish chowder, nettle soup, samphire fried in wild garlic butter and delicious Rabbit Curry served with fresh Bannock. With a little guidance and imagination you too can be the next ‘Riverbank Masterchef’.

Our introductory courses to White Water canoeing are suitable for novices and those with some canoeing experience. This is an intensive course designed to give the candidate the skills to be able to run simple white water rivers as part of an organised group. Day one will be spent learning core canoe skills on flat and gently moving water to allow candidates to progress without the distraction of white water. Day two will start with an introduction to faster moving water and river reading culminating in a river trip on up to grade 2 moving water.
