The River Dart is not only one of the most beautiful rivers in Devon, nor is it only described by some as the best white water river in England for it's kayaking and canoeing. It also has possibly the widest range of canoeing and kayaking in the country. What's more, within a stones throw of the River Dart, there is a huge range of activities to choose from for all ages and abilities.
From its source at Dart Meet (where the east and west Dart rivers converge) the more adventurous paddlers can enjoy exquisite grade 4 white water. For intermediates, the middle grade 3 section is almost unbeatable for it range scenery and peacefulness. The penultimate section ideal for beginners to white water boasts excellent grade to for learning. Then the slow flowing winding tidal section below Totnes perfect for slow paddling, bushcraft & BBQs on the river banks and pub lunches. Hard to beat!
