More about Axe Throwing in Bournemouth (Saturday)
If you like the thought of throwing knives but find the technique too complicated or when playing darts you find a subtle satisfaction in the thud the dart makes when it meets the board, then axe throwing is your calling. Once mastered, there will be few sounds in the world more satisfying than the border-line “thud/whack” an axe makes when it successfully embeds itself into your wooden target. Due to the axe-head and handle length of Max Events tomahawk axes being a lot larger than your average throwing knife, it is a lot easier to master as the movements are a lot larger (not as tedious). Your group will be taken through their paces by a well experienced, skilled and enthusiastic instructor. Your instructor will show you everything you need to know about how to an throw axe successfully, including how you hold it, your footing, and most importantly the motion of your throw. Two members of your group will be throwing axes simultaneously at the same distance but at different targets. Once a rotation of all group members is completed, your instructor will have your group hitting the targets from further away. See if you can stick the target on each throw, or even have your axe compete 3 or more rotations in mid flight before imbedding itself deep into the target.
